BREAKING: Governor Mourns As Popular Traditional Ruler Dies
The Elemure of Emure-Ekiti, in Ekiti State His Royal Majesty, Oba Emmanuel Adebayo is dead.
The monarch died and was buried over the weekend according to traditional rites.
Reacting to the incident, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, expressed his condolences.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, Governor Oyebanji described Oba Adebayo’s death as a big loss, noting that the late monarch showed no signs of illness during their last encounter.

He praised Oba Adebayo as a loving and dependable ruler who was deeply committed to the welfare and development of his community.
The governor extended his sympathies to the late monarch’s family, the Elemure-in-Council, and the people of Emure-Ekiti, encouraging them to find solace in the impactful life of service that Oba Adebayo led.

He emphasized that the late king’s contributions to the town, Ekiti State, and Nigeria at large would not be forgotten.
Until his death, HRM Oba Emmanuel Adebayo was a police officer and former Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State.
