The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu on Monday said he has relocated to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Tinubu is known for running his political affairs from Bourdillon drive in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State.
The APC presidential candidate during his meeting with the flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, at the VVIP lounge of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Monday, said he has moved to Abuja.
Tinubu’s decision to move to Abuja might be due to the fast approaching 2023 general elections and the campaigns of the ruling party.
Atiku upon meeting Tinubu at the Tinubu had asked the former Governor of Lagos State if he was returning to his state, but Tinubu noted that he has relocated to the nation’s capital.
The former vice president asked, “Are u going to Lagos?.” Responding, Tinubu said, “I have moved to Abuja”
The presidential candidates exchanged pleasantries in the presence of their party chieftains.
The National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu and a presidential aspirant under PDP, Mohammed Hayatudeen were at the airport when Tinubu and Atiku met.
Tinubu and Atiku are hoping to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari at the end of his tenure in 2023.
