Your Health: Signs That Show You Have A Vitamin Deficiency

You must eat a well-balanced diet with enough nutritious fruits, vegetables, and protein to live a healthy lifestyle. You would see a series of uncomfortable symptoms if your body lacks any essential vitamin. Identifying the symptoms of a vitamin deficiency is the first step to addressing the issue.

Common symptoms experienced by people suffering from vitamin deficiency are discussed in this article:

Weak nails and hair: Several different factors contribute to brittle hair and nails, but one of the most common factors is a lack of biotin, also known as vitamin B7, which supports the body in turning food into energy. Extended use of certain medicines can lead to a deficiency in vitamin B7.

Cracks in the corner of your mouth: Lesions in or around the mouth can be an indicator of a lack of vitamins. Ulcers patients have twice the likelihood of having iron, and vitamins B1 and B2 deficiencies.

Bleeding gums: A deficiency in vitamin C leads to a weakening of the gums and immune system. The most intense sign include scurvy and even tooth loss.

Poor vision at night: A deficiency of vitamin A leads to growths around the whites of the eye which hinders night vision. Adding more vitamin A-rich foods such as fish oils and liver into your diet can solve this issue.

Dandruff: A deficiency of vitamins B2, B3, and B6 can develop dry, scaly patches on the head, eyebrows, eyelids, chest, and ears.

Hair loss: Vitamins B3 and B7 are needed to help develop a full head of hair. An insufficiency of any of these vitamins can make hair to become fragile and fall out easily.

Red and/or white bumps all over your skin: Keratosis pilaris is a condition where the skin will develop red or white bumps. An insufficient amount of vitamins A and C can worsen the condition, add more eggs, fish, and yellow-coloured fruits and vegetables to your diet, to prevent this.

High blood pressure: High blood pressure can be caused by a lack of vitamin D. Adults need around 600 international units of the vitamin daily. Endeavour to include salmon, tuna, beef liver, and egg yolks, to increase more vitamin D in your system.

Low blood pressure: lack of vitamin D causes high blood pressure, but a vitamin B12 deficiency leads to the opposite direction. A deficiency of vitamin B12 can make muscle weakness and a loss of bladder control. Increase your intake of beef, milk, and eggs boost your blood pressure, which resulted from a vitamin B12 deficiency.
