The Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has announced the dates for its highly anticipated exam, scheduled to take place from Monday, July 29, Wednesday July 31, 2024.
With 62,000 applicants competing for just 7,500 available slots, it’s natural to feel anxious. But I urge you: ignore fear and stay focused.
Exam Details
– Exam Dates: Monday, July 29th to Friday, August 2nd, 2024
– CBT Slip: Log on to https://tescom.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng to save and print your CBT slip and do take it along with you when going for the exam.

– Subject Allocation: Specific subjects allotted to each day next week
– Required Documents: Bring application slip and CBT printout on your scheduled day
– Exam Content: English, Math, Current Affairs, and teaching subject (60% of 50 questions)
– Exam Duration: 50 minutes for 50 objective questions
Preparation Tips
- Practice past questions for Senior School subjects (SSCE, UTME, POST UTME, A’ level)
- Practice past JSCE questions for Junior School subjects (STATE and NECO Junior)
- Familiarize yourself with GMAT reasoning questions, but prioritize other areas
- Focus on answering questions you’re sure of first
A Word of Advice to Science Subjects Applicants
As a mathematician, I understand the tactics involved in science subjects. Be patient and take your time when answering questions. Science requires critical thinking and attention to detail. Don’t rush through questions; instead, break them down and analyze each step carefully.
Important Notes
– SUBEB questions differ from TESCOM questions; prepare accordingly
– Some applicants may encounter questions based on 200-level university courses
– Only 7,500 out of 62,000 invited applicants will be considered.
