Abubakar Malami is trending because the ex Min. Of Justice and AGF Abubakar Malami is now being investigated for 18 strong offenses.
It is reported that, Malami is unable to explain the whereabouts of
1. $346.2M recovered Switzerland Abacha loot.
2. ₦4B Borrowers Funds from CBN.
3. A shady $16.9M legal fee to recover $321 Abacha loot.
4. A mysterious $496M payout made to Global Steel years after it had waived all claims.
5. A strange $200M compensation deal made with Sunrise Power over the Mambilla project dispute.
6. His role in a $419M Paris Club judgment debt to consultants.
7. A non-existent N10bn investment in schools, hotels, and rice mills in Kebbi.
And many more.. including his 46 bank accounts, according to TheCable.
Malami is being accused of funding terrorism, money laundering, abuse of office, corruption and 14 other cases, including the Abacha loot.
On Tuesday he was granted bail, but couldn’t perfect it. So his night in EFCC detention entered a two day hot streak.
While many people think he should be jailed for his numerous crimes. Others think it’s just a routine political witch-hunt.
As the charges all resurrected after Malami left APC for ADC and declared intent to enter Kebbi State governorship race.
