The Imo State Ministry of Education has officially banned graduation ceremonies for kindergarten and nursery pupils in the state. According to the new directive, graduation events will only be permitted for:
A. Primary 6 pupils completing their basic education
B. Senior Secondary School (SSS) students finishing their studies

In addition, the ministry mandated that textbooks be used for a minimum of four consecutive years, allowing siblings to share books and reducing financial burdens on parents.
