In a significant development, Hon Bidemi Akintola, the overall President of Jubril Dotun Sanusi’s (JDS) 2027 Governorship Support Group has led a strong delegation of Solidarity visit to Oyo East LG Area in the ancient city of Oyo.
Leading a team of seasoned politicians based in Oyo township and others from outside the Oyo federal Constituency ,amongst who were Hon Abdusrasheed Aribikofa,the Oyo federal Constituency coordinator,Mr Mato,the Oyo FC Chairman,Hon Taofeek,the Zonal PRO ,Hon Adebayo,the JDS Vice chairman from Ogbomoso area, the DG and others,the president told the gathering of JDS supporters to remain resolute and undaunted ,that Chief (Dr.) Jubril Dotun Sanusi will ultimately emerge the next GOVERNOR of Oyo state,come year 2027.
He remains the popular choice of the masses that cannot be stopped by any human machination.
Hon Bidemi courageously pointed the freedom of association as enshrined in the nation’s constitution,and urged the JDS supporters to go about their activities and Mobilization peacefully.
He delivered the messages of solidarity and encouragement from Chief Dotun Sanusi and Iyaloja Saratu Aduke Konibaje,who expressed their commendation and appreciation for JDS governorship support in the entire Oyo federal Constituency.
Assurances were given on preparedness to prosecute any form of attack against any JDS supporters in any LG Areas in Oyo state
On the other hand,while recounting their ordeals of alleged intimidation and harassment, based on their support for Dotun Sanusi’s Governorship,one of the G7 prominent support team for PDP in Oyo East LG said, they won’t shift there support away from Dotun Sanusi,no matter what.
He stated steps are already are being taken to exclude them from dividends with reports of planned suspension,expulsion and possible attack on JDS supporters,arising from fear of the meeting held at Olugbon Hall,where tumultuous crowd of JDS supporters gathered and declared absolute support.
He stated that the matter has been officially reported to the Police authorities and other security agencies.
Others who spoke at the meeting in the same vein were Mr Olaoba Ademisin,a one time Deputy Leader of Oyo East LG,who is an Ardent JDS supporter,who said he learnt of secret LG meeting to remove JDS supporters from positions .
Hon Mustapha ,who is also a member of the Oyo East LG PDP executives even alleged on the plan to physically assault JDS supporters,which invariably necessitated their readiness with security arrangements against any form of attack allegedly from PDP authority in the state.
The unyielding JDS supporters ,comprising of numerous past ward chairmen and other prominent politicians however successfuly held their expansive meeting at Idi Ope area,which ,rather albeit witnessed large crowd of more supporters
They also in their request stated the need to have meeting office ,in view of possible ban from public arena cannot be overemphasized
The Solidarity meeting,which was held at the home of a Foremost politician and one of the founders of PDP in Oyo town,Chief Adeyanju Lukman resolved to remain resolute and steadfast in their support for Engr. Dotun Sanusi,for he’s been divinely endorsed to succeed Governor Seyi Makinde in office come year 2027.
