Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, revealed this in a statement he personally signed on Tuesday.
Dogara disclosed that during Bala Mohammed’s tenure as FCT Minister and Wike’s as Minister of State for Education, Mohammed refused to allocate land to Wike in Abuja.
Dogara further recounted how Wike had played a key role in ensuring Mohammed’s gubernatorial victory but held reservations about him due to past grievances.

According to Dogara, Wike’s displeasure became evident during a visit to Rivers State when he and Mohammed sought Wike’s support for Mohammed’s gubernatorial campaign.
Dogara said, “As soon as Wike joined us and saw Bala Mohammed, his demeanor changed. He excused me and spoke bluntly about his grievances. He said, ‘Speaker, why did you bring Bala to my house without knowing our history?’ He then recounted how Bala allocated land to all ministers except him and how he was humiliated when he sought an approval for an Abuja building project from Mohammed during their time as colleagues.”
Dogara’s revelations come amidst escalating tensions between Mohammed and Wike, with both prominent PDP figures trading accusations.
