In a heartwarming display of service and compassion and an effort to promote maternal and child health, the Rotaract Club of Ibadan Ring-Road (CB) recently brought joy and relief to nursing mothers by providing essential baby care items while empowering mothers with practical childcare knowledge.
The project held on Saturday 26th of July, 2025, at Teslim Folarin Compound in Kosodo Community, Oja Igbo, Ibadan, aimed to support nursing mothers by providing essential baby care items, promoting hygiene practices, and offering educational sessions on effective child care practices.
The project saw the active participation of dedicated volunteers and members who worked tirelessly to ensure its success. The team impacted over 60 nursing mothers and pregnant women from the Oja Igbo community. The project aims to improve hygiene management among nursing mothers, sensitize them on effective child care practices, and provide them with basic sanitary and baby care materials such as diapers, soaps, and toiletries.

The ‘Diaper a Baby Outreach’ featured engaging activities such as a hygiene management talk to educate mothers on best practices, the distribution of diapers to alleviate caregiving burdens, the distribution of toiletries to ensure proper hygiene, and the provision of liquid soaps to promote cleanliness and sanitation.
The outreach made a significant impact on the lives of the beneficiaries by equipping them with knowledge and resources to better care for their babies.
