The Asejere Group, a formidable humanitarian foundation operating in Ona Ara Local Government and Oyo State at large under the leadership of Dr. Ayokunle Iyanda, successfully held its New Year 2026 General Meeting and Celebration on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
The well attended gathering took place at the Dr. Ayokunle Iyanda Foundation office, Asejere Group Secretariat, located at Tioya Elekuro Area, Target, Ibadan. The event brought together members from various wards across Egbeda and Ona Ara Local Governments, showcasing unity, solidarity, and unwavering loyalty to the vision and leadership of Dr. Ayokunle Iyanda.

In his welcome address, the Ward Coordinators Leader, Mr. Afeez Badmus, expressed deep appreciation to all members for their steadfast commitment and support, particularly during the period of political realignment. He described members of the Asejere Group as sincere and devoted supporters whose loyalty continues to strengthen the movement. Mr. Badmus also specially appreciated Dr. Ayokunle Iyanda for his generous provision of foodstuffs to members during the festive season, describing the gesture as timely and highly commendable.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ayokunle Iyanda commended members for their dedication, resilience, and belief in the collective vision of the Asejere Group. He urged them to remain steadfast, united, and focused, while assuring them of continuous and timely support. Dr. Iyanda reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to humanitarian service and grassroots driven initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the people.

In his vote of thanks, Hon. Fashola Babatunde, popularly known as Big Fash, applauded Dr. Kunle Iyanda for his consistent love, generosity, and financial support towards members and the growth of the group.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to reflect on the impactful humanitarian interventions of the Asejere Group across Ona Ara and Egbeda Local Governments. Over the years, the group has supported communities through the distribution of food palliatives to the vulnerable, educational assistance for students, facilitation of employment opportunities, and other people oriented initiatives aimed at improving living standards.

The New Year 2026 General Meeting and Celebration once again reinforced the Asejere Group’s reputation as a people focused movement anchored on compassion, unity, and purposeful leadership, while further strengthening the bond between Dr. Ayokunle Iyanda and his grassroots support base.
