The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD) Ona-Ara Local Government chapter on Saturday 30th March, 2024(RAMADAN 20th) held her annual Ramadan Lecture at Sawia Garage, Olorunshogo, Ibadan as Egalitarian Voice reports.
It was such a memorable Islamic gathering where the Guest Lecturer of the day, Alh Abdul Akeem Oriola Alatise(The Chief Iman Sawia-Garage Central Mosque), purified peoples minds with his soul-inspiring sermon.
The Guest of Honour of the day, Mrs Shekinat (Director of NIPSN Home For Disabilities), and Alfa Semiu, spoke on the impact of Peoples with disabilities in Islam. They charge them to embrace unity and the ability in disabilities for overall interest of humanity.
The Chairman of the association, Comrade Ajibade Yemisi and the secretary of the association who’s also the Supervisory Councilor for Environmental and Disability Matters, Hon. Olayiwola Yisau appreciate the presence of the general public. They also lauded the executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE for including people living with disabilities in his administration throughout all the Thirty-three(33) local government in the state.
Comrade Ajibade equally appreciate the Executive Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government, Hon Musibau Adesina Sanusi and the Chairmanship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the coming election, Hon Dr. Kolapo Temitope-GLORIOUS for their contribution towards the program.
Personality at the event include; league of Iman, political leaders, community leaders, JONAPWD state exco and all people living with disabilities in Ona-Ara local government.
