In continuation of Governor Seyi Makinde’s Governorship Campaign ahead of 2023 general elections, his campaign trail had landed on the soil of Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa North, Saki West and Atisbo local government areas respectively earlier this week telling the good people of the zone what Omituntun 2.0 will bring forth in Oyo State and beyond.
Thousands of Youths, Party faithfuls, religious leaders, teachers, pensioners, market women and a host of others welcomed the Governor and his entourage with joy on their faces.
The Director General, Youth Mobilisation for governor Makinde’s re-election bid, Hon. Dr. Salami Ibraheem Oladeji (DIKKO) has expressed his appreciation to all the youth constituents and good people of the zone, as he noted that his believe is that the bloc of votes for the Governor in the forthcoming elections will turn victory.
While in Ibarapa Central LGA, governor Makinde held his campaign rally at Igboora. He promised to construct the 38km Igboora-Igangan-Iganna road which will start from Ibarapa central and link the Oke-Ogun Zones.
In the meeting with traditional rulers at the palace of the Olu of Igboora, Oba Jimoh Olajide Titiloye the Governor told the traditional rulers that he had addressed their request to appoint a Rector for OYSCATECH, and that the Rural Electrification Board was awaiting Kabiyesi’s representative to be part of the board.
Other meetings held were with the Ibarapa Central/Ibarapa North Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) led by Rev. Elijah Olawale and Rev. S. A. Opaleti at Baptist Church, Idere; civil servants and retirees at Idere, led by Comrade Oguntoyinbo and Comrade Sunmonu Adeola respectively.
While we were in Ibarapa North, our principal, Gov. Makinde held a rally at Igangan where he promised to fix the 38km Igboora-Igangan-Iganna Road among others.
Governor Makinde also thanked the people for their support during the farmers/herders crisis in 2021 and pledged to do more under Omituntun 2.0
As usual, we met with religious leaders: traditional worshippers at Tapa; and the League of Imams and Alfas at Ayete Central Mosque. His Excellency thanked them for their prayers and assured the traditional worshippers that their request for Isese Day is already being looked into.
On the same vein governor Makinde visited the good people of Atisbo LGA as part of his campaign in Oke-Ogun Zone. He held rallies at Obada Market, Tede; Ile Oba Roundabout, Ago-Are; Irawo-Owode; Roundabout, Irawo-Ile; Ofiki Roundabout; Owotoro; Agunrege; Sabe; and Baasi along Ibadan Road.
The Governor met with religious leaders: the League of Imams, Tede led by Sheik Ahmad Tijani Adedigba; traditional religious worshippers in Tede led by Alaga Adebisi Adewole; and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) led by Evangelist Oyebisi James at First Baptist Church, Tede.
He met with traditional rulers at Afin Onitede, Tede led by Kabiyesi Oba Abdulrahuf Adebimpe Oladoyin, Onitede of Tede. Other meetings held were with NANTS & NATMALC at Tede, a meeting with the artisans led by Oloye Tawakalit Ranti Ade; and non-indigenes at the Local Government Secretariat, Tede.
In his remarks, the Youth Mobilisation Director General, Hon. Dikko expressed his assurance that Omituntun 2.0 will work towards Sustainable Development Vision using the road map model 2023-2027 document that has been plugged towards absolute landslide victory come 11th March 2023.
