PEOPLE VS BAD LEADERSHIP: A NATIONAL RESCUE MISSION IS UNDERWAY
For decades, Nigerians have endured a repeated cycle of political imposition. Leaders meet behind closed doors, handpick candidates, conduct consultations that exclude the people, and dictate choices at every level — from the ward to the national stage. These decisions, made without our consent, have consistently produced a leadership class that fails to serve us.
Today, we boldly declare: Enough is enough.
In past elections, Governors and party elites selected candidates state by state, local government by local government, ward by ward, senatorial district by senatorial district. And when these handpicked individuals failed at both national and state levels, the same leaders turned around to lament.
This is hypocrisy. This is failure. This is injustice.
2027 will be different. The people will choose their leaders.
You will NOT choose our President.
You will NOT impose our Governors.
You will NOT dictate our Senators, Representatives, or Assembly Members.
The era of political puppetry is over.
We, the ordinary people, are the ones paying the price.
You ride in convoys — we trek.
You enjoy free electricity — we live with blackouts.
You dine in luxury — we struggle to feed our families.
We can no longer afford the consequences of your decisions.
This is why I, Bolanle Amina Sarumi (BASA), have launched a people-focused initiative — the Nigerian Women & Youths Rescue Mission 2027.
This national movement is made up of like minds — people who, like me, genuinely want a better Nigeria. We are united in our commitment to restoring integrity, service, and accountability in leadership.
We are mobilizing passionate, patriotic Nigerians — women and youths in particular — to stand up, speak up, and take part in shaping our future.
Let it be clear:
This is not a campaign of anger.
This is a call for change.
This is a peaceful awakening of the people’s voice.
To all Nigerians — at home and in the diaspora — we invite you to be part of this historic journey.
2027 is not just another election. It is our opportunity to reclaim our future.
Together, we will choose.
Together, we will rise.
Together, we will rebuild Nigeria.
To every aspirant and candidate who joins this mission: the people will determine your support. There are no automatic tickets. You must earn the trust of your community by engaging them directly — in your wards, in your local governments — and showing that you truly represent their hopes.
If the people in your area choose another, that is who we will back.
This is a transparent, grassroots-driven movement — free from favoritism or political manipulation.
No Governor, no leader, no political elite will choose candidates for us again.
We will support those we know, those we see, and those who have earned the people’s confidence.
Let it be known:
2027 is the year the people reclaim their power — peacefully, legally, and decisively.
