“PDP, APC Have Expired—ADC Is the Future,” BASA Declares on Live Radio
Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi (BASA), a prominent political figure in Oyo State, has declared that Nigerians are fed up with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is ready to take over governance from the bottom to the top.
Speaking during a live interview on the popular political programme “Politics Now,” hosted by Mr. Olatunde Idowu (D’General) on a leading Ibadan radio station today, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, BASA expressed strong confidence in ADC’s rising popularity and her ambition to become the first female governor in Nigeria.
“I’m confident that by 2027, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde will hand over to ADC candidate,” she stated boldly.
According to her, both the APC and PDP have outlived their usefulness. “PDP and APC have expired. The only thing left in Oyo PDP is the governor himself. ADC is here to rescue our people,” she said.
Reflecting on her political background, BASA noted, “My political journey began in ADC in 2018. Many members of PDP and APC will soon defect to ADC because they believe in our vision.”
On her agenda for the people of Oyo State, she emphasized inclusive growth. “My plans for the people are centered on empowerment — empowerment for all,” she assured.
While acknowledging Governor Makinde’s efforts in the regular payment of salaries and pensions, BASA stressed the need for deeper governance reforms. “I give kudos to the governor for consistent payment of salaries and pensions, but governance must go beyond that,” she said.
It will be recalled that Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi (BASA) recently revalidated her membership with ADC by collecting her membership card at Ward 5, Ibadan North Local Government, as part of her grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
