Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has been appointed as the patron of the Ecumenical Synod of Bishops, Archbishops, and Senior Clergy Inc. (ESBAASC).
This appointment was announced during the organization’s international conference, which took place from August 22 to 25 at the RCCG Redemption Camp.

The conference, themed “Religious Tolerance in Nigeria and Across the Nations of the World,” focused on understanding the importance of religious tolerance and the challenges associated with achieving it.
During the event, Archbishop Prof. Kehinde Olubunmi nominated Adeboye for the role of patron, while Archbishop Prof. Mary Ajisafe was named matron. Both appointments were met with unanimous approval.
Representing Pastor Adeboye, Pastor Joseph Obayemi expressed concerns about the current state of Nigeria, reflecting on a past where religious harmony was more prevalent.
He emphasized the importance of promoting religious tolerance to foster mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence among different religious groups.
