In a surprise move, the Oyo State Government has credited the accounts of pensioners with a ₦25,000 New Year bonus.
According to a bank alert made available to Egalitarian Voice on Tuesday, 31st December, 2024, the payment was made by the Oyo State Government as a token of appreciation for the pensioners’ service to the state.
The gesture, which has been hailed by pensioners across the state, is seen as a demonstration of Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to the welfare of retirees.
