Oyo Govt Engages New Investors on Land Title Regularization
The Oyo State Government on Tuesday engaged twenty-three private investors in an interactive session aimed at emphasizing the importance of securing legal land titles.
The engagement, which took place at the Secretariat in Ibadan, was supervised by the Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Williams Akin-Funmilayo. The session highlighted the numerous benefits of proper land documentation, including legal security, ease of development, and accurate record-keeping.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Akin-Funmilayo reiterated the State Government’s commitment to integrating private investors into its broader economic development strategy. He noted that formalizing land ownership not only protects investors’ interests but also supports sustainable growth in infrastructure and other sectors.
“Securing legal land titles is essential for you as investors, and for the Oyo State Government. It will facilitate seamless development and ensure accurate archival records for future reference,” he stated.
He further assured the participants of the government’s readiness to support all genuine investors willing to contribute to the state’s economic advancement.
Responding on behalf of the investors, Mr. Adesina Ojelade commended the Oyo State Government for simplifying the land regularization process. He affirmed their willingness to comply fully with all stipulated regulations and take necessary steps to formalize their land ownership.
