It was a friendly atmosphere as the Fulani and Hausa communities in Odo-oba Ogooluwa/Surulere zone of Oyo Central Senatorial district, rallied support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial candidate, Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka.
While making the declaration in Ogbomoso on Tuesday, Seriki fulani, Sarki Babuga Yero Curuma noted that they are tired of the All Progressive Congress led administration at the centre and have resolved to mobilize across polling units, Wards and local government of Oyo Central zone, so as to actualise their hope of a better representation, which from all indication Chief Bisi Ilaka is prepared to give.
“We strongly believe that Bisi Ilaka is a solution to Oyo Central infrastructural decadence, he’s well equipped, he has touched many lives, a father of the downtrodden and helper of the poor. we are enjoying your borehole since 2003 till this moment.” he said.
Also, Sarki Aliu Jafar of Orile-Igbon, lamented that, people are suffering, some are unable to afford three square meals per day, APC has destroyed every sector, its time for us to support PDP across board. He urged the senatorial candidate to sue for peace and unity of this country at the Red Chamber, stressing that he supported Buhari in 2019, but he has failed them. He emphasised that now is the time to support PDP across board. He further assured that, he will ensure that his people vote for PDP candidates in the coming elections.
Equally, the Odo-oba Ogooluwa Park Management System(PMS) under the leadership of Oyebamiji Oke (a.k.a Alara) appreciate the august visits of the Oyo born politician, adding that this is Ladilu of Oyo time, he pledged that his members will vote en-mass for PDP candidates across board.
In his remarks, Ilaka who was the former Chief of Staff to governor Seyi Makinde appreciated the Fulani and Hausa communities for their show of love and demonstration of absolute support for his ambition, emphasising that he is coming to offer quality and first class representation.
He charged them to collect their PVCs as it remains the only way to make their voice heard. He also promised to present bills that will cater for youths employment, empowerment and all round development, and will also pay attention to the development of agribusiness.
Hon Akin Wale Akinwole aka Wolekanle, the Oyo North Senatorial candidate PDP, Hon. Smato, Surulere LG Chairman, Hon. Adegbite Isaiah, Hon. Gbadamosi Moroof Chaitman LCDA Oko, Hon Bamiji Folaranmi Leader, PDP Party Chairman, Hon. Adebayo Adeyeye, DG Ilaka Campaign, Hon Success Oladejo are amongst dignitaries that accompanied Ilaka to the meeting, others are Hon. Maximum, Hon. Bisi Micheal (Ogbomos North State Assembly) candidates.
Also at the meeting are Mr Anderson Olayiwola, Prince Adebowale and Ogooluwa/Surulere Bisi Ilaka campaign coordinators.
