As Oyo State marks its golden jubilee, February 3, 1976 – February 3, 2026, Prince (Dr) Adesanmi Bamidele, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Entertainment Cruise, Eleyele, Ibadan, has described the celebration as a “divine plan by God” to crown the remarkable developmental achievements of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration and the people of Oyo State.
Prince Bamidele stated that the 50th anniversary of Oyo State is not just a historical milestone but a spiritual and symbolic moment that reflects God’s grace and favor upon the state, especially under the present leadership. He noted that the timing of the jubilee complements the visible progress recorded across critical sectors of the state’s economy and governance.
According to him, Governor Makinde’s administration has created an enabling environment where businesses can thrive, investments can flourish, and citizens can experience the dividends of good governance. He emphasized that Oyo State has become a model of stability, transparency, and sustainable development through deliberate policies that prioritize people-oriented projects over political considerations.
“Your Excellency has taken good governance above politics. Your administration has demonstrated that leadership is about service, vision, and courage to do what is right for the people. Today, Oyo State stands tall as a state where business thrives and development is driven by sincerity of purpose,” Prince Bamidele said.
He further expressed confidence that the founding fathers and past heroes of Oyo State would be proud of the current direction of the state, given the visible transformation in infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, and economic growth.
Prince Bamidele also used the occasion to call on other governors and future leaders to emulate Governor Makinde’s style of leadership, which he described as progressive, inclusive, and development-focused.
“It is my earnest wish that other governors and those coming after will draw inspiration from your strength, resilience, and commitment to development. Your leadership has set a standard worthy of emulation across Nigeria,” he added.
He concluded by congratulating the government and people of Oyo State on the historic 50th anniversary, praying for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in the state, while urging all stakeholders to remain united in building a greater and more prosperous Oyo State.
