Oyo Amotekun Dismisses Operative Over Misconduct
The dismissal took place today, November 29, 2024, at the Corps Operational Base in Ibadan. Fakunle was found guilty of illegal sales of live cartridges to an armed robbery gang who were caught while snatching car on the highway. Fakunle was dismissed from Oyo Amotekun and handed over to Nigerian Police, CP monitoring unit for prosecution.
The accused confessed and named his accomplish in the crime. Both of them were handed over to the Police for further action.

According to the Commandant of Amotekun in Oyo State, Rtd. Col. Olayinka Olayanju, Fakunle was found guilty of acting outside the corps protocol. He stated that the operative has been dismissed from the corps and handed over to the police for prosecution.
This decision underscores the resolve of the Agency to ensure that erring members who indulge in criminal activities are not spared.
