A prominent Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) , Chief Waheed Ajao Adurodekun has re-iterated the strong support and belief of major blocks across political divides regarding the Oyo 2027 governorship contest invitation to Chief Dotun Sanusi, the Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resorts.
Adurodekun, who is one of the founding fathers of PDP in Oyo State stated unequivocally, that he has never for once quit the party since its formation in 1998, and will continue to advocate strength and progress for the party, but will readily follow Chief Dotun Sanusi , who is being massively invited into PDP by its teeming members .for the governorship bid.
The disclosure was made during a meeting with a socio-political group “ *ALAADORIN* ” situated in Isale Osi, Born Foto ,area of Ibadan South West LG suburb area of Ibadan land .
With their slogan ‘ *ALAADORIN* , *OORE* DE” in chorus chants of solidarity songs for Chief Dotun sanusi’s vision ,the delegation led by Chief Waheed Adurodekun was welcomed into the venue of the meeting, which was filled to the brim , with members in their large explosive numbers,spread across the populated areas of Ibadan land .
Aare Onibon and one of the prominent Mogajis in Ibadan, who is, the leader of the socio-political group, has bluntly stated that the group and Ibadan land will massively support Chief Dotun sanusi ‘s governorship project . He said the political group, founded over two years back has grown in leaps and bounds due to commitment of members and will lend the support to Sanusi , irrespective of political affiliation . The group has in its fold members from across all political parties, PDP, APC, Labour , Accord and others and all of them have agreed to follow Chief Dotun Sanusi ‘s political chart.
Aare Onibon availed the opportunity to acknowledge the tremendous degrees of support, the group members have benefitted from Chief Dotun Sanusi over the years , without any political inclination , long before he caved in to pressure, to serve as the next Oyo State Governor come year 2027.
He thereafter expressed the unalloyed resolve of the group to give unwavering support to “Ilaji” as fondly called.
While speaking with the large crowd of Alaadorin members, whose conduct was politically savvy, Chief Waheed Adurodekun gave the account of how the late Olubadan had strongly appealed for support to Chief Dotun sanusi in whatever endeavour before the passage of the late monarch, also the tremendous support assuredly coming from Ibadan land .
Adurodekun boastfully stated that , Chief Dotun Sanusi is an illustrious son of Ibadan land , whose tremendous contributions motivated and consequently, has attracted huge support of the soul and fabrics of entire structure of the ancient town.
The strong politician of note domiciled in Ona Ara , who has unconsciously emerged the foremost political leader , taking over the status of Late Chief Lamidi Adebdibu in Oyo State politics,used the occasion to reiterate his belief that Chief Dotun Sanusi will contest the year 2027 governorship and emerge victorious , for the project is simply divine ,and will by Allah’s Grace ,surmount all challenges, that may appear on the road to victory.
As regards the present situation that JDS is yet to declare for any political party , the conglomeration of political personages have all agreed that wherever Chief Dotun Sanusi goes, they will follow , though the decision to join PDP may be uppermost in the political equation .
Waheed Adurodekun expressed his wish that PDP will be their abode for the project, where all other political support will eventually assemble, as this will further invigorate the PDP and makes it more formidable to continue its stronghold in Oyo State.
Adurodekun, who stated that though, he has remained an avowed and committed member of the PDP since ages and foundation, ranked the JDS vision as the uppermost decision in the political mathematics that will come to play .
