Opinion: Wale Ajala is the Right Choice for Ona-Ara State Constituency in 2027
As a proud daughter of Ona-Ara, I have watched our constituency go through different phases of political leadership. Some leaders came with promises but failed to deliver; others tried their best but could not fully meet the expectations of the people. Today, as we prepare for the 2027 elections, I strongly believe that it is time we choose a leader who not only understands us but has shown, through words and actions, that he is committed to the progress of our people. That leader is Hon. Wale Ajala.
Wale Ajala, A Shining Example of Leadership Excellence
Hon. Ajala is not just another politician seeking office; he is one of us. He has lived among us, listened to our struggles, and supported our aspirations. That is why many of us call him “Ìgbégà Ona-Ara” — the Progress of Ona-Ara. The name did not come by chance; it came because of his consistency in standing by his people and working tirelessly for their development.
In 2023, during Governor Seyi Makinde’s re-election campaign, Hon. Ajala served as Campaign Coordinator for Ona-Ara Local government and subsequently served as the Secretary to the Forum of Local Government Campaign Coordinators in Oyo State. This was a critical role that required competence, strategy, and trustworthiness. His outstanding performance in that assignment proved his capacity for leadership and his ability to deliver results when entrusted with responsibility.

Beyond politics, Ajala is a successful entrepreneur whose achievements reflect hard work, vision, and resilience. Yet, he remains humble and accessible to his people. He has supported youths, encouraged small businesses, and contributed to community growth in ways that show his genuine love for Ona-Ara.
My people, as we look toward 2027, the choice before us is clear. We do not need leaders who will remember us only during elections. We need someone who has been with us, who has worked for us, and who will continue to represent us with courage and integrity. That person is Hon. Wale Ajala.
For progress, for development, and for the true voice of Ona-Ara in the Oyo State House of Assembly, let us stand together and give our mandate to Wale Ajala. With him, the future of Ona-Ara is brighter.
