Ona-Ara LG’s Dynamic Duo: Temitope’s Personify Makinde’s Leadership || By Ajao Sikemi
The Ona-Ara Local Government is fortunate to have two dedicated public servants, Hon. Dr. Kolapo Temitope (GLORIOUS) and Hon. Chief (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE), who are making significant contributions to the community’s development.
One notable trait that sets them apart is their consistent SMILING MOOD, which is infectious and has created a positive atmosphere in the local government. This attitude has endeared them to the people and demonstrates their approachability and commitment to serving the community.
Dr. GLORIOUS, the current Executive Chairman, has been instrumental in implementing various initiatives since assuming office on May 24, 2024. His proactive approach to governance is evident in the following:
– Organization of massive Fire Safety and cholera awareness programs, featuring international health expert Engr. Funmi Obisesan
– Donation of a power generator to Amuloko Community Grammar school to help the school power the borehole inside the school compound and assist science students in their experimental activities
– Proper monitoring of the ongoing construction and dualization of the Olorunsogo-Dagbolu road project under the approval of The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE
– Provision of interlocking as a palliative measure for the busy Amuloko market road
– Flagging off the distribution of federal government palliatives to vulnerable residents within Ona-Ara local government area
– Facilitation of collaboration among security operatives, traditional rulers, community and religious leaders, youth organisations, and market stakeholders to sustain peace and order in the local government area
Dr. GLORIOUS has street credibility and is always available for his people. His efforts have earned him recognition, including an award of excellence from the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) Akinyele Chapter.
On the other hand, Hon. Dr. OTOPE has facilitated numerous community empowerment initiatives, including:
– Organizing a mega empowerment program where he distributed essential tools and equipment, including over 100 sewing machines, clippers, hair dryers, makeup boxes, and many more
– His Foundation, OTOPE Foundation, just finished another set of 2-months free training programs where participants were trained on Solar Inverter power system installations, CCTV camera surveillance installations, Car tracker GPS, Intercom Phone system, among other tech-based skills
– Provision of Fuel palliative to over 400 Okada and Maruwa drivers in the LGA
– Dr. OTOPE single-handedly sponsored an employment for one of the vibrant youth of the local government with Oyo State Road Traffic Management Agency (OYRTMA)
– The applicants of the ongoing Teaching Job recruitment, SUBEB, enjoyed FREE TRANSPORTATION to and fro to their CBT exam center throughout the examination activities as Dr. OTOPE provided free buses for all Ona Ara and Egbeda local government areas applicants
– The community of Oremeji, Atolu, and Idi-Oro areas recently appreciated Dr. OTOPE over his donations to developmental projects in the communities
These are just a few examples of the unique character of Hon. Dr. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji and Hon. Dr. Kolapo Temitope, which makes their equation balance towards building a better environment for all residents of Ona Ara Local government.
Note: Dr. OTOPE was a House of Representatives aspirant for Egbeda/Ona Ara federal constituency in 2023 under Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and he is currently the Director-General, Abuja and Lagos liaison office under the leadership of the executive governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE.
