The Supervisory Councillor for Environment in Ona-Ara Local Government, Hon. Idrees Olapade, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Hon. Mufutau Ogunremi following his election as the State Financial Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oyo State Chapter, during the just-concluded State Congress held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan, Egalitarian Voice reports.
Hon. Olapade described Ogunremi as “a grassroots politician and a servant leader of our great party, PDP”, noting that his emergence reflects competence, loyalty, and years of dedicated service.
He further lauded Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for his leadership style in recognising and empowering core party members with responsibilities that strengthen both governance and the PDP structure in Oyo State.
According to Olapade, Ogunremi’s enviable political journey as former Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, former Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government, immediate past Vice Chairman of Oyo Central Senatorial District, and currently serving as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on SDGs, makes him more than capable of delivering in his new role.
