Ahead of 2023 general elections, Oyo State born rising Yoruba Actress, Bewaji Folashade, popularly known as Loyalbewaji, on Friday, declared her support for the re-election bid of the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, stating that with what governor Makinde had done in his first term in office as qualified him for second term. His administration has greater plans for the state.
Actress Folashade Bewaji speaking from his resident at Ikolaba said, “Have shunned alot of political parties trying to enticed me to join their political campaign”.
“But am declaring my full support for the re-election of the governor Seyi Makinde.”
“I will stick to the present truthful and genuine governance of Governor Seyi Makinde, He has done a wonderful works in Oyo State and still willing to do more.”
Within the First term of Governor Seyi Makinde, He had invested a lot in the area of Education Sector, Infrastructure, Security, Agriculture, Empowerment, Economy, Agribusiness, among others.
“Governor Seyi Makinde administration has constructed 56 Model Schools and completed the renovation of more than 206 Primary Health Care Centres, equiped some of the primary healthcare centres with over 97 generating sets, renovation/upgrade of one (1) Primary Healthcare Center (PHC) per ward (there are 351 wards in Oyo state) to the standard category.
Construction of several roads that have impacted positively on the economy of the state through the creation of a thriving environment for private sector players in the state’s agribusiness sector.
Some of these projects, included the 65km Moniya-Ijaiye-Iseyin Road, the 76.7km Ogbomoso-Fapote-Iseyin Road, the 34.85km Oyo-Iseyin Road and the proposed reconstruction of the 48 km Ido-Eruwa Road.
His administration had also trained close to 4,050 youths in agribusiness, 98 of whom have started their businesses, while the state is set to support the others in diverse agribusiness enterprises.
