Omituntun 2.0: Akinyele Youths Vow To Mobilize Thousands Of Voters For Makinde Re-election

As the campaign trail of Omituntun 2.0 landed in Akinyele local government area of Oyo state, the youths in the zone have vowed to mobilize thousands of votes For Makinde/Bayo in the 2023 general election.

The youths eulogised the leadership sagacity of the uncommon Governor, engineer Seyi Makinde.

According to the youths, Oyo state has experienced a tremendous development under the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde and if he is re-elected has the Governor of the state come march 11, 2023, he is going to continue with his transformational agenda of taking Oyo state to the zenith of development.

Makinde’s DG youths mobilization, Hon. Salami Dikko, revealed that workable mechanism had already been established in all 33 local government of the state to ensure effective mobilization of youth for the victory of Governor Makinde and all PDP candidates in the forthcoming general election.

At the campaign ground in Akinyele, Governor Makinde declared that the next five years will bring about a huge transformation in the fortunes of Akinyele Local Government Area in the state.

The governor confidently said his claim would come to pass because of the various landmark projects and infrastructure being put up in the area.

The governor maintained that ongoing projects such as the Inland Dry Port, the African Development Bank’s Agroprocessing Zone, the Oyo State government-initiated Ilutuntun City as well as the multifarious infrastructure projects put in place by his administration, will make Akinyele the richest local government in the state within the next five to 10 years.

The governor, who met with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) at the First Baptist Church, Alade, Moniya; the League of Imams, Akinyele Local Government at the Central Mosque Moniya and the traditional worshippers at the Isese Temple, Moniya, urged the religious leaders to support the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidates in National Assembly, state Assembly and governorship elections.

Speaking during his meeting with the Muslim community of Akinyele Local Government, the governor also pledged to fix that Ojo-Ayegun Road before the end of the present administration in the state.

He also hinted that the state has sought the approval of the Federal Government to dualise the 9.78km Ojo-Moniya Road.

The youths in expressing their joy and satisfaction with Governor Seyi Makinde’s first tenure, turned the campaign ground into a carnival ground , dancing and shouting Makinde lẹẹkansi , Omituntun 2. 0, SEYI TI BAYO .

In his reaction, Hon Dikko said :

” Governor Seyi Makinde has fulfilled all the electoral promises he made in 2019 and i am very confident that with this massive show of appreciation and support by the citizens of Oyo state, Governor Seyi Makinde will be re-elected come march 11, 2023 to continue the good work he has started.”
