OCT. 1st: Ona-Ara PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Dr Temitope Kolapo (GLORIOUS) Extends Wishes; Commends Gov. Makinde Leadership Style
The peoples democratic party’s chairmanship candidate in Ona-Ara local government area, Honourable Dr. Temitope Kolapo (GLORIOUS) has congratulated Nigerians on the nation’s 63rd national independence, urging citizens to honor and celebrate the best of what it means to be a Nigerian.
Hon Kolapo gave the charge in a provided statement to press on Sunday, October 1st.
His Independence message reads:
“Fellow countrymen, ladies and gentlemen,
As Nigeria marks her 63rd Independence Anniversary, I humbly extend my warmest wishes to the good people of Ona-Ara, Oyo State, our great nation and her resilient citizens.

Independence Day is not only a date on our calendar cycle or a mere day for national holiday; I share a staunch belief that it is a symbol of our strong spirit, our journey of growth and development, and the hope on that tomorrow holds for us all. It is a day to reflect on the strides we have made as a country and the distance we have yet to travel as a nation.
In these 63 years, as it is with other nations and institutions, Nigeria has seen both challenges and triumphs. However, as we celebrate today, let us focus on the limitless possibilities that lie ahead. I have no doubt that our country’s future is colourful. Special gratitude and thanks to the efforts of leaders like Governor Engr Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who exemplify servant leadership, – his dedication and commitment to the welfare of the people is a beacon of hope for us all.”
I call on leaders across the nation to emulate these worthy and selfless examples, putting the interests of the people first. It is through such dedication that we can accelerate our nation’s progress, and make the people be beneficiary of dividend of democracy.
Indeed, I aspire to be a catalyst for positive change, also inspired by examples already laid by Engr Seyi Makinde, providing representation that is outstanding and accessible at every level of governance, especially in our grassroots communities.
In our journey towards a better Nigeria, let us also remember the importance of unity, love, perseverance, and faith. We must continue to support our government, pray for our leaders, and keep faith in our nation. We must remain patriots against all odds, – and together, we can overcome any challenge that threatens our livelihood.
As we raise our flags and sing our melodious national anthem in very sweet tones, let us pledge to work hand in hand, building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria for the generations to come. Of course, we can, and we will!
