As the world celebrates the International Day of the Girl Child today October 11th, the Founder of BASA foundation who is also the Chairperson of ATIKULATED GLOBAL MOVEMENT (AGM) Hon (Mrs) Bolanle Amina Sarumi Aliyu GCMW/VHPP popularly addressed as BASA heartily celebrates the Girl Child across the globe especially in Nigeria.
Hon BASA described the Girl Child as a special creature of the Almighty God, and that is why He took time to create them beautifully.
“I celebrate every girl every day, as we all should.
With the right support, they have the potential to become the empowered girls of today and tomorrow, future entrepreneurs, mentors, household heads, and political leaders. Give girls an opportunity to lead by putting them in the forefront of change efforts, hearing their voices, responding to their needs, and welcoming them in decision-making spaces.”

International Girl Child Day- October 11 aims to focus on the importance of girls’ education, their rights, and promoting gender equality, BASA further stated.
