
The Oyo State Chapter of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) paid a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Chapter of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) yesterday, November 24, 2025, between 12:20 pm and 1:47 pm. The delegation, led by the State Chairman, Comr Abdulfatai Adeyemi Legacy, was warmly received by the Director of NOA, Oyo State Chapter, Mrs. Ajolayo Simiat AKANDE, who welcomed them to the Agency’s headquarters.
In her opening remarks, Mrs. AKANDE emphasized the importance of synergy among youth organizations, stating, “Concrete synergy between all youth organizations is crucial to achieving a common goal and ensuring the spirit of WE before ME in everything they do.” She affirmed that youths are a vital component of Nigeria’s development and that NOA is committed to supporting NYC in its endeavors.

Mrs. AKANDE stressed the significance of the national anthem, encouraging the NYC members to imbue the spirit of patriotism and national pride in their activities. She also highlighted the importance of prayer in all aspects of life, urging the NYC to make it a habit to invoke divine guidance in their endeavors. “As a nation, we must recognize the power of prayer and the importance of seeking divine guidance in all our endeavors,” she said.
The NYC State Chairman, Comr Abdulfatai Adeyemi Legacy, expressed gratitude to NOA for the warm reception and assured the Agency of NYC’s commitment to collaboration and partnership. He pledged that NYC would work closely with NOA to promote national orientation and civic engagement among young people in Oyo State.

The meeting was attended by other NYC officials, including Comr Aderoju Solomon, Deputy Chairman; Comr Odunowo Aseesat; Comr Asiwaju Oladele; and Comr Mustapha IBRAHIM.
