As the festive season of Christmas and New Year approaches, the Nigerian Youth Congress, Oyo State Chapter, wishes to extend warm greetings to all youths in the state.
According to the statement released by the Publicity Secretary, Comrade Segun Akinlabi, this period is a time for celebration, reflection, and rejuvenation, but it also presents opportunities for reckless behaviour and unbecoming conduct.
“As ambassadors of our great state and leaders of tomorrow, we urge you all to be mindful of your actions and behaviour during this festive season,” the statement reads. “It is essential to remember that our character and conduct have a lasting impact on our individual and collective reputation.”

The Nigerian Youth Congress, Oyo State Chapter, advises youths to avoid behaviours that could tarnish the image of their generation, including reckless driving, violent or destructive behaviour, substance abuse, and hate speech.
Instead, the organization encourages youths to focus on activities that promote unity, love, and progress, such as strengthening bonds with family and friends, engaging in community service, pursuing personal development, and promoting peace and understanding.
“As the Nigerian Youth Congress, Oyo State Chapter, we remain committed to empowering and supporting our youths in their pursuit of excellence,” the statement concludes. “We believe in the potential of our generation to drive positive change and progress in our state and nation. Let us make this festive season a celebration of our values, our resilience, and our determination to build a brighter future for ourselves and our communities.”
