The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has issued a critical warning to Nigerians regarding the modification of their National Identification Number (NIN) data. According to the commission, individuals should only use the official NIMC self-service portal to modify their NIN details:
SelfserviceModification.nimc.gov.ng.
In a statement issued on Monday, NIMC’s Head of Corporate Communications emphasized that this measure is to safeguard data security and integrity. The agency reassured Nigerians that the portal is secure, reliable, and allows users to update their information conveniently from anywhere.
