NANCES STATEMENT ON THE EDON 3D SOFTWARE AND ITS TRANSFORMATIONAL IMPACT ON TEACHING AND LEARNING: OUR TOUR EXPERIENCE
The National Association of Nigerian Colleges of Education Students (NANCES) celebrates the groundbreaking introduction of the EDON 3D software, a remarkable innovation that is revolutionizing teaching and learning across Colleges of Education in Nigeria. This cutting-edge technology marks a major leap in the modernization of teacher training, enabling students to engage with highly interactive, visual, and immersive learning experiences that deepen understanding and improve academic outcomes.
We particularly commend the visionary leadership of Dr. Idonuagbe Akogun, whose foresight, passion, and relentless drive made this historic innovation a reality. His commitment to advancing teacher education through technology has paved the way for a new era of smart learning, digital competency, and 21st-century instructional delivery.
Our recent visits to Federal College of Education, Iwo in Osun State, and the Ebonyi State College of Education, Ikwo in Ebonyi State, further affirm the effectiveness and transformative power of the EDON 3D Software. During these visits, NANCES witnessed firsthand how the software is reshaping classroom engagement and strengthening students’ understanding of complex concepts.
The overwhelming appreciation expressed by students in both institutions toward TETFund, The NCCE and E-DON speaks volumes. Many of them testified that, through this innovation, they now feel empowered and confident that they can compete favorably with their counterparts across the globe. Their enthusiasm reflects the real value of this initiative—bridging educational gaps, improving digital exposure, and elevating the standard of teacher education in Nigeria.
NANCES also acknowledges the monumental step taken by some Colleges of Education in the consideration of a signing of an agreement with EDON for a long term partnership speaks volumes to both the value and possibilities this can bring to our students and tertiary institutions. This bold move demonstrates a clear institutional commitment to sustaining, expanding, and fully integrating the digital learning with EDON 3D software as a great template into academic programs. It represents a landmark decision that will ensure long-term access, continuous improvement, and wider adoption of this transformative educational tool.
