The National Association of Former Local Government Council Chairmen in Nigeria (NALGON Emeritus) has inaugurated the Executive Committee of the Oyo State Chapter. The event took place this afternoon, February 26, 2025 at the Forum 68 House located at the Ring Road Ibadan, Egalitarian Voice Media Reports.
Performing the inauguration, the State Chairman of the association, Pastor Oluyinka Jesutoye congratulated the executive members for the opportunity accorded them to continue to serve the nation even after the expiration of their tenures in their respective Local Governments. He called for their loyalty, transparency and commitment to the new assignment. He encouraged the members of the association to embark on membership drive by reaching out to all the former elected local government chairmen in Oyo State irrespective of their political affiliations.

On the issue of the NALGON (Emeritus) program recently unveiled in Abuja tagged, “One Nigeria Project”, Pastor Jesutoye profoundly appreciated the vision and thoughtfulness of the leadership of the association at the national level. He said that the program could not have come at a better time than now when the issues of unity, insecurity and socioeconomic challenges are confronting Nigeria.

He opined that unity is key and germane in whatever efforts that are being employed to liberate Nigeria out of her challenges. And that all hands must be on deck in supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms focused in taking Nigeria out of the woods. According to him, NALGON (Emeritus) as a very important stakeholder, particularly at the grassroot level must not take the back-seat at this critical period of the nation’s history.
Goodwill messages from the National President and Vice President, Hon Shabba Ibrahim and Prince Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye respectively were delivered. They congratulated the new Exco members and enjoined them to justify the confidence reposed in them.
The officers inaugurated include Pastor Oluyinka Jesutoye (State Chairman), Hon Khalid Shittu (Deputy Chairman), Hon Oyetunde Olubayo (Assistant Secretary) and Hon Habib Adegoke (Treasurer). Others are Prince Yomi Adefusi (Financial Secretary), Hon Nathaniel Akano (Auditor), Barrister Sulayman Dawud (Legal Adviser), Hon Aderemi Ogundele (Publicity Secretary), Bashorun Bosun Ajuwon (Zone A Chairman), Hon Okeniyi Gbolagade (Zone B Chairman) and Hon Ogunrinde Williams (Zone C Chairman).
