The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to well-wishers from all walks of life for the overwhelming love and goodwill extended to him on the occasion of his recent birthday.
In a heartfelt message released through his Head of Media, Aderibigbe Yisahu Ajibola, the council chairman described the experience as both humbling and inspiring, noting that the volume of prayers, calls, messages, and goodwill he received far exceeded his expectations.
Hon. Olufade acknowledged the support and affection shown by friends, family members, political leaders, associates, party faithful, business partners, religious leaders, traditional rulers and supporters from within Nigeria and across the diaspora, describing the gesture as a profound reminder of the responsibility that comes with leadership.
Reflecting on the moment, the council boss said the celebration provided him with an opportunity for deep reflection and renewed commitment to selfless public service.
“I was truly astonished by the overwhelming outpouring of goodwill from every direction.
The love, prayers, and encouragement I received reaffirmed my belief in purposeful leadership and service to humanity.
These messages have been carefully preserved in my heart and mind, and they continue to inspire my commitment to progress and good governance,” he said.
In his appreciation message, Hon. Olufade stated:
“I am profoundly overwhelmed with gratitude as I express my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who took the time to celebrate me on my birthday.
Words alone cannot fully capture how thankful I am for the flood of love, prayers, and encouraging messages I received from all corners.
“To all my well-wishers, your thoughtful words warmed my heart and strengthened my resolve to continue living a life of impact, purpose, and egalitarian service inspired by the visionary leadership of our performing and indefatigable Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, and the dependable pillar I lean on, Otunba Seye Famojuro, fondly known as the ‘King of Boys.’
“Your prayers and kind words are deeply appreciated and will never be taken for granted.
Rather, they will continue to fuel my passion and dedication to service.”
The chairman extended special appreciation to the residents of Ibadan North, the management and entire staff of the local government, political heads of LCDAs, councillors, supervisory councillors, special assistants and his political Aides for their show of love and solidarity.
He also thanked the leadership and members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North Local Government and Oyo State at large, acknowledging their unwavering support.
Hon. Olufade further expressed gratitude to his distinguished colleagues, including local government chairmen across Oyo State, executive vice chairmen, former and serving senators, members of the House of Representatives and House of Assembly, commissioners, board chairmen, agency directors, and political appointees, past and present, for their goodwill and kind gestures.
He equally appreciated his business associates, friends, and family members both at home and abroad, noting that their thoughtfulness reaffirmed how blessed he is to be surrounded by such remarkable individuals.
“I would have loved to mention everyone by name, but the list is far too long.
Nonetheless, I cherish and hold each of you dearly in my heart.”
Emphasizing his gratitude to his political family, Hon. Olufade added:
“Most importantly, I thank my beloved political party, the best party in the world, the PDP for celebrating me so warmly.
Your collective show of love has further strengthened my loyalty and commitment to the party’s progressive ideals.”
He described the avalanche of birthday messages as a source of “indescribable joy,” adding that he took time to carefully read and reflect on most of the messages received.
