The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Staff Pension Board, Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige, has called on party faithful and stakeholders across the state to rally behind Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja (KONGE IRÉ) in his quest to become the Executive Governor of Oyo State come 2027.
According to a viral video, Hon. Ige could be seen passionately echoing the chant “KONGE IRÉ 2027!”, a resounding show of solidarity that has further ignited excitement among party members and supporters of Ambassador Arapaja across Oyo State.
Hon. Ige made the call on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, during the PDP Southeast Local Government Meeting held under the leadership of the party chairman, Hon. Olajide.
Speaking at the gathering, Hon. Ige described Ambassador Arapaja as “a seasoned politician, bridge-builder, and true party man whose wealth of experience will sustain and expand the legacy of good governance in Oyo State.”
His rallying message has since attracted commendations from prominent PDP members, including Hon. Olumide Oduola (ALÁYAKI ỌNA-ÁRÁ) — a respected leader in Ona-Ara Local Government and a member of the Venue Committee for the PDP 2025 National Convention.
