Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries and a key figure in Nigerian gospel cinema, has expressed concern over the confusion among Christians, particularly in the U.S., regarding their support for President-elect Donald Trump.
Through his official X account, Bamiloye questioned why Christians seem divided in their endorsement of a leader who he believes aligns with Christian values.
In his Friday post, Bamiloye shared a video of Trump emphasizing his commitment to moral values and his love for Christ. He criticized Christians who found it difficult to decide which political party to support, suggesting that Trump’s policies are more in line with Christian teachings compared to those of his opponents, who back issues like abortion, same-sex marriage, and gender identity education.
“What’s confusing about the options?” Bamiloye remarked, expressing disbelief that some Christians were uncertain about supporting Trump, especially after hearing his pro-faith messages. He added that he was shocked to see skepticism about Trump’s Christian values, even speculating that some of his statements might be considered inauthentic or generated by AI.
Trump, in the viral video, shared his belief in a higher savior, Jesus Christ, stating that only through His teachings and sacrifice could the world be saved. Trump’s remarks resonated with many, but also sparked mixed reactions online.
