The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has criticized the administration of Bola Tinubu, accusing it of relentlessly imposing detrimental policies on workers since assuming power. In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, NLC President Joe Ajaero highlighted the government’s continuous rollout of anti-people measures that have exacerbated the economic hardships faced by workers.
Ajaero pointed out that Nigerians have been enduring significant challenges over the past year, emphasizing the adverse impacts of policies such as the petrol price hike, currency devaluation, and the recent electricity tariff increase. He stressed the need to prioritize the welfare of workers and the disadvantaged in the face of such policies, calling for concerted efforts to steer the government towards more worker-friendly policies.
