Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has ended his one-month leave earlier than planned in order to personally preside over the historic coronation of the Olubadan-designate, Oba (Sen.) Abdulrashidi Adewolu Akanmu Ladoja.
Governor Makinde had handed over the reins of government to his deputy, Barr. Bayo Lawal, on August 29, 2025, with his official resumption date fixed for September 29, 2025. However, in a letter to the Oyo State House of Assembly, read on the floor today, September 25, 2025, the governor announced his decision to resume office immediately. Lawmakers received the notification with support, assuring of a smooth transition.
