Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has once again stirred the political space with a new wave of appointments into key state institutions, drawing attention across the state.

The governor, in a move that reflects his ongoing commitment to effective governance and institutional strengthening, approved the appointment of members into the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) and the Governing Council of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.

According to official communication signed by his Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Comrade Adeniyi Afeez Babatunde, an Oyo-born civic advocate and grassroots figure, has been appointed as the new Chairman of OYSIEC.
Other members of the commission include Olatunde Akintunde Theophilus, Mrs. Adebayo Mariam Adepeju, Mr. Olanrewaju Emmanuel, Chief Kunmi Agboola, Mr. Remi Ayoade, Mr. Sunday Falana, and Mr. Babatunde Ige.
In the same development, the governor also announced the constitution of the Governing Council of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, with Prof. Banji Oyeyinka Oyelaran serving as Chairman. Other members are Mr. Olatunde Gabriel Oyelade, Dr. Bello Adebayo Taiwo, Mrs. Isola Agnes Bolanle, Dr. Akintunde Kehinde Ayinde, Prof. Olawale Adebayo Olakulehin, and Prof. Adenike Olugbenga-Bello.
