Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has shed light on the outcome of the Expanded PDP Governors’ Forum Meeting held last night, which included both serving and former governors of the party, Egalitarian Voice reports.
According to Governor Makinde, “At last night’s Expanded PDP Governors’ Forum Meeting which included serving and former governors, we had extensive discussions about our great party’s future and the steps we need to take to overcome its present challenges. We are repositioning the PDP as the best option for Nigerians in 2027 and beyond.”

He further revealed that a key decision was made during the meeting: “One of the major decisions reached was to set up a seven-man committee led by my brother, His Excellency Senator Olubukola Saraki. The committee will be responsible for preparing for a rancour-free National Executive Council (NEC) meeting later this month and the forthcoming national convention in August.”

Both incumbent PDP governors and former governors were in attendance, including the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, among other key stakeholders of the party.
