A member representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, Nigeria at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon Ekene Abubakar Adams is dead.
Hon. Ekene was confirmed dead early Tuesday morning by his wife.

The lawmaker who was until his death the Chairman House Committee on Sports, had battled ill health in recent times. The late politician was a former football player, ex-general manager of Kada City Football Club, and former Remo Stars General Manager before winning the House of Reps election under the Labour Party in 2023.

This will be the second death in the House of Reps within seven days following the death of Oyo state lawmaker Hon Olaide Akinremi.
The outspoken lawmaker who was until his death was the Chairman House Committee on Sports, had battled ill-health in recent times.
