‘I’ve Never Benefited From Tinubu’s Govt ‘ – Morayo Brown Blows Hot Amid Backlash From Nigerians

Nigerian media personality, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, has fired back at critics attacking her for supporting President Bola Tinubu in the last presidential election.

Egalitarian Voice recalls that Afolabi-Brown was attacked on Friday, July, 11, 2025, over her controversial post in which she urged Tinubu to consider handing over power to an unnamed politician.

She slammed the politician over what she described as his desperation for power, saying he should rule for six months so Nigerians can see the “magic” he claims he can perform.

Reacting to the backlash, the show host stated that she voted for Tinubu because he was her personal choice.

She stressed that every Nigerian has a right to make decisions without fear or harassment.

The mother of four made it clear that her support for the President was not influenced by any benefit or government reward.

She wrote: “First, I voted Tinubu because he is my choice. As a Nigerian, I have a right to that choice. I have NEVER EVER collected or benefited from this government. Every one who has cursed me, based on an assumption that I am ‘chopping, I have told God to return the curse upon their lives and children. I am a woman of grace. God has blessed generations thru my hands. So every silent prayer I have with God comes to pass.

“If I have an opinion, I should not be judged simply because I work for TVC. There are plenty Obidients that work in TVC and earn their salaries. No one bothers them.”
