The ‘Ajia Anajere’ Ultra Modern Market in Ajia, Inukan LCDA in Ona-Ara Local Government has officially commenced operation, marking a significant milestone in the development of the community.
The event, which took place in Ajia Town on Monday, 30th December, 2024 was attended by dignitaries, market leaders, and stakeholders. The market, which was commissioned by the Alajia of Ajia, HRM Oba Nureni Yusuf, is expected to provide a conducive and modern trading environment for traders and shoppers alike.
In her welcome address, the Head of Inu-Kan LCDA Administration, Mrs. Folasade Ayokumuye, appreciated all the dignitaries, market and religion leaders for their cooperation so far towards the commissioning of the proposed market.

The market leaders commended Hon Windapo for his commitment to people’s welfarism. Alajia of Ajia, Oba Nureni Yusuf, Oba Oniladuntan of Laduntan, Hon Hakeem Taiwo Oke (Former council chairman), Alh. Kehinde Adeyemo, Hon Mosobalaje Barake, and others appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde’s approval and the Head Inukan LCDA, Hon Oluwole Windapo, for their love.
In his keynote address, the Political Head/Administrator Inukan LCDA, Hon Oluwole Windapo–Stainless, commended His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE, for approving over two acres of land for the ‘Ajia Anajere Ultra Modern Market’. He also appreciated the Executive Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government, Hon Dr. Temitope Kolapo, for his support.
Hon Windapo further appreciated Mr. Adedapo Oluyemi (Oludasile Oja), Lawal Saka (Babaloja Ajia), Olutundun Babarinde (Iyaloja Ajia), and others while declaring that the market will operate daily. Hon Windapo specially appreciated Otunba Seye Famojuro for his mentorship so far.
Continuing, the Executive Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government, Hon. Dr. Kolapo Temitope-GLORIOUS, lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for his exemplary leadership in Oyo State while urging the residents of Ajia and environs to make use of the market judiciously.
Other dignitaries in attendance included Inu-Kan LCDA Secretary, Hon Wakili Okunola, Hon. Mufutau Ogunremi, Hon (Mrs) Fausat Gbadamosi (Owonwami), Special Advisers, Councillors, and other stakeholders.
