Dr. Oluwafemi Deter Alamu, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the forthcoming Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election, has declared that his ambition is rooted in service and the urgent need to restore effective representation to the people.
Speaking during a live appearance on Political Circuit, a popular current affairs programme on Fresh FM Ibadan, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, Dr. Alamu described the ADC as a credible and people-centered alternative to the status quo.
“The ADC is not about snatching power. We are on a rescue mission to bring real leadership and development to Ibadan North,” he said.

He expressed confidence in securing victory in the August 16 by-election, assuring constituents that their welfare would be the top priority of his legislative agenda.

“I stand for the people’s welfare. I believe the voters in Ibadan North will stand with me and the ADC to usher in a new era of responsible representation,” Alamu affirmed.
Dr. Alamu also issued a passionate call to residents of the constituency, urging them to come out in large numbers and vote decisively for the ADC.
“I am charging every eligible voter in Ibadan North to come out massively on August 16. Let your vote be the voice for change, for progress, and for leadership that truly cares,” he charged.
Describing the ADC as the solution Nigeria needs, Dr. Alamu said his campaign is anchored on integrity, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive growth.
