PDP to Inaugurate 2025 National Convention Organizing Committee (Main Committee) Tuesday, 2nd September, 2025
Following the approval of the National Executive Committee (NEC), the National Working Committee (NWC) has scheduled the inauguration of the 2025 National Convention Organizing Committee, NCOC, (Main Committee) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as follows:

Time: 12 Noon
The 110- member PDP 2025 National Convention Organizing Committee has His Excellency Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State as Chairman, His Excellency Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State as Vice Chairman and His Excellency Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State as Secretary.
The NWC charges all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the PDP to remain united, focused and continue to work together towards the success of the PDP 2025 Elective National Convention scheduled to hold in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital on Saturday, 15th to Sunday, 16th November, 2025.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the inauguration of a 110-member National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) to oversee the planning and execution of its 2025 Elective National Convention. The convention is scheduled to take place in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, on November 15-16, 2025.
The NCOC will be led by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State as Chairman, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State as Vice Chairman, and Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State as Secretary. Other notable members of the committee include governors, former presidents of the Senate, and other high-ranking party officials.
The committee comprises a diverse range of party leaders and stakeholders, including:
– Governors Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers), Caleb Muftwang (Plateau), Kefas Agbu (Taraba), and Dauda Lawal (Zamfara)
– Former Presidents of the Senate Bukola Saraki and Adolphus Wabara (BoT Chairman)
– Former Vice President Namadi Sambo
– Former Governors Mohammed Makarfi (Kaduna) and Aliyu Babangida (Niger)
The NCOC will be inaugurated on September 2, 2025, and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth conduct of the convention. Despite internal disagreements over the party’s decision to zone the 2027 presidential ticket to the South, the PDP has reaffirmed its commitment to proceeding with the convention.
The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Honourable Debo Ologunagba, has stated that the party will not be swayed by internal dissent and will proceed with the convention as planned. The party has charged its leaders, stakeholders, and members to remain united and focused in the lead-up to the convention.
The PDP’s 2025 Elective National Convention is a crucial event that will shape the party’s direction and leadership. With the NCOC in place, the party is set to move forward with its preparations for the convention, which promises to be a significant milestone in the party’s history.
