In response to the disaster that occurred at Jegede Area, Odugbede Street, Olorunsogo, Ibadan which claimed lives and injured several others, Honourable Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Williams Funmilayo, visited the scene to assess the damage and sympathizes with the affected families.
During his visit, Mr. Funmilayo emphasized the importance of regular maintenance and checks on buildings, particularly during the rainy season.
“We must prioritize safety and take proactive measures to prevent such tragedies,” Mr. Funmilayo stressed. “I urge all residents to inspect their homes and report any concerns to the relevant authorities.”
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic event and stand in solidarity with the people of Olorunsogo Ona Ara Local Government,” said Mr. Akin-Funmilayo Williams, Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development. “May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may the injured recover quickly.”
