How To Apply For 2026 Nigerian Army Recruitment – Full Guide

The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of online registration for its 91st Regular Recruits Intake (91RRI) for tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women.

The application portal will open on March 30, 2026, and close on May 17, 2026.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be single Nigerian citizens by birth;

Possess valid NIN and BVN (details must match);

Be medically, physically, and mentally fit;

Have no criminal record;

Possess at least 4 credits including English (max two sittings);

Trades applicants must have Trade Test/City & Guild certificates;

5. Fill Application Form

Provide accurate details:

NIN/BVN;

Trade qualifications (if applicable).

6. Upload Documents

Attach required scanned credentials.

Ensure all information is correct before submission.

8. Print Acknowledgement Slip

Download and print your application slip (mandatory).

Screening Process

Successful applicants will be invited for screening in their states of origin between June 9 and June 23, 2026.

 

Candidates must present:

  • Photo card;
  • Parent/guardian consent form;
  • Local government certification;
  • Police certification;
  • Guarantor’s form.

Screening will include:

Physical fitness tests;

Medical examinations;

Document verification.

Important Warnings

Applicants must note:

  • No computer-based test will be conducted;
  • Do not bring electronic devices to screening centres;
  • Tattoos and body inscriptions are not allowed;
  • Multiple piercings are prohibited;
  • Fake documents will lead to disqualification and prosecution;
  • Do not pay anyone for assistance – the process is free.
