Senator Ali Ndume, who served as the Director-General of Rotimi Amaechi’s presidential campaign, revealed that President Bola Tinubu initially expressed interest in working with Amaechi after the 2023 presidential election but later abandoned him.

Ndume stated in an Arise News interview that Tinubu, along with Lagos Governor Sanwo-Olu and the current Minister of Defence, reached out to him to arrange a meeting with Amaechi, indicating a willingness to incorporate him into the government.
However, this meeting never materialized, and Tinubu distanced himself from Amaechi, leading to a fallout between the former political allies.

Ndume emphasized his commitment to speaking the truth, stating that he believed Tinubu’s initial gesture was not followed through, leaving Amaechi sidelined.
