Hon. Wasiu Ridwan Amoo, popularly known as OMO IYALOJA AMULOKO, has been honoured with an Islamic Merit Award by Modirasat Nurudeen Li Ta’lim Logatul Arobiyat in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the growth of Islam and his selfless service to humanity.
The award was presented during the Annual Ramadan Lecture held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Olohunda-Aba Market, Akanran Road, Ibadan.
The organisers noted that the honour was in appreciation of Amoo’s consistent commitment to humanitarian service, community development, and the promotion of moral and religious values within society.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Hon. Ridwan dedicated the honour to Almighty Allah and to his mentor and leader, Hon. Dr. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE), acknowledging his guidance and unwavering support.
The recognition further reinforces Amoo’s reputation as a respected grassroots leader and philanthropist whose impact transcends religious, social, and political divides.
