Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi (BASA) Mourns Olubadan Oba Olakulehin, Describes His Passing as a Great Loss

Oyo State governorship aspirant, Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi (BASA), has expressed heartfelt condolences over the death of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Dr. Owolabi Akinloye Ige-Olakulehin I, describing his transition as a monumental loss to Ibadanland and the Yoruba race.

In her tribute, Hon. BASA described the late monarch as a father figure and custodian of Ibadan’s cultural values, whose calm leadership and dedication to unity marked his reign, even though brief.

“Oba Olakulehin was not just a royal figure, but a symbol of integrity, peace, and wisdom. His life embodied the strength and resilience of Ibadan, and his passage leaves a deep void in our hearts.”
